Semper
Privacy Policy
The short version: Semper keeps everything on your device. No account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking.
Effective date: June 15, 2026
Your data never leaves your device
Semper is a free habit tracker for iPhone, built by Gustavo Cavalcanti. It is designed to be private by default: you don't create an account, you don't log in, and you don't sign up. This policy explains, in plain language, what Semper stores and what it deliberately does not do.
The details
What Semper does — and doesn't — do
What Semper stores, and where
Everything you create in Semper — your habits, to-dos and tasks, daily progress and check-ins, your "note of the day," and any motivational quotes you save as favorites — is stored locally on your device. I have no access to it: it stays on your iPhone and is not uploaded to me or to anyone else. Because the data lives on your device, removing the app also removes its data.
Information I collect
None. Semper has no server or backend, and it does not send your habits, tasks, notes, saved quotes, or any other content off your device. I don't receive your data, and I can't see it.
Analytics, tracking, and diagnostics
Semper does not use analytics, usage tracking, or crash-reporting tools. It doesn't measure how you use the app, it doesn't build a profile of you, and it doesn't track you across other apps or websites.
Advertising
Semper contains no ads and no advertising SDKs. You won't see banners, interstitials, or sponsored content, and nothing about you is shared for ad targeting.
Sharing with third parties
Because Semper keeps your data on your device and collects nothing, there is nothing to sell or share. I do not share your information with any third party.
Notifications and reminders
If you turn on reminders, Semper schedules notifications locally on your device through iOS. They are generated on your iPhone — they don't go through a server, and turning them on doesn't send anything to me. You can disable them any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
Children's privacy
Semper is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. Since Semper collects no information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time — for example, if a future version of Semper adds a feature that changes how data is handled. When that happens, I'll update the effective date at the top of this page and post the revised policy here.
